Product Description

Ferrochrome is an iron alloy composed of chromium, iron, carbon, and small amounts of impurities. It is one of the main alloying additives used in the steel industry. Production Process

1. The electric arc formed between the electrode tip and the furnace chamber reduces chromium ore to ferrochrome alloy under the action of coal and coke.

2. Material is intermittently discharged from the furnace.

3. Sufficient molten ferrochrome accumulates at the furnace bottom; the discharge hole is then drilled.

4. Molten metal and slag are rapidly poured into a sand bed or cast iron ladle.

5. After the metal solidifies into blocks, it is transported to the loading/unloading area for cooling, cleaning, and further crushing into blocks according to customer specifications.
